"When you finance a terrorist state, you finance terrorism"


The Wall Street Journal, Europe, April 8, 2007.
A similar version of this ad also appeared in The New York Sun
and the Swiss newspapers Le Temps and
Le Matin Bleu (in French) and Neue Zrcher Zeitung (in German).

Four comments:

1) I hardly remember ads against foreign governments...

2) ...at least, no one attacking a neutral country.

3) Yes, Switzerland is denounced by the Anti-Defamation League for financing terrorism through an energy deal with Iran. Real politics, ethical questions are not considered. Who can afford to publish not-for-profit ads in international newspapers? Who can throw the first stone? USA’s umbrella.

4) Is this a new trend? Hopefully not, the selection of issues wouldn’t be in a competitive basis.
